Plane Accident- Survivor Akinsanya Femi Gives Details of The Accident.

One of the survivors, Akinsanya Femi  stated that when the plane took off it broke into two and he saw light and fire in front of him immediately he unfasten his seat belt and jumped he does not know how far they where up in the sky. He recounted that he was sitting at the back and people who survived where those sitting at the back. He thanked God because according to him he was sitting in front and before it took off he went behind to sit with his brother in-law, Mr. Feyi Agagu, the late Agagu’s son, who was the only family members of the late governor on board the ill-fated plane. He kept saying" it was God who survives a plane crash"? Right now he is badly injured with broken bones but still receiving treatment at LASUTH. He actually walked out of the crash alive.

The eye witness said: “I saw one man walk out on his legs. I think he is the only one that walked out.” According to him, Mr. Feyi Agagu passed out.

It was gathered that Aklinsanya broke the news of the crash to the burial party waiting at the Akure airport to receive the body of the former governor, which was to lie in-state in the Ondo State capital yesterday.

He reportedly spoke to Mr. Femi Agagu, the late former governor’s younger brother, who broke the news to Governor Olusegun Mimiko, who was leading the burial party.

The airline, in a statement, expressed deep regrets and “with all submission to the will of the Almighty” confirmed the “unfortunate accident of one of our aircraft”.

The statement added: “The aircraft was chartered for a flight to Akure on the 3rd of October, 2013.

“We are currently cooperating fully with the aviation regulatory authorities with a view to establishing the remote and immediate causes of this most regrettable and unfortunate accident.

“Our prayers go to the affected families of the departed. We pray for their souls to rest in peace while we continue to wish and pray for the speedy and full recovery of the survivors of this grave and sad accident.” - 

Also, some hoodlums on Thursday were seen exchanging blows and throwing bottles at one another over the money they found on the dead victims of the Associated Airline plane crash.the hoodlums had turned the road leading to the crash site to a boxing ground.
It was learnt that when the rescue team were trying to assist in the evacuation of the victims, they Area boys were stoning the rescue team trying to stop them so they could steal there belongings.It was also learnt that they fight ensued due to alleged ‘insincerity’ in the sharing of the money they stole from the dead. One of the hoodlums, identified simply as Loko, was heard saying, “You won’t believe that after the whole rescue thing, we luckily found money and they don’t want to share it equally.”
