Situations and bad people have made it so difficult for people to see the good ones. In the dating world for example, heartbreaks, unpleasant ordeals, have blindfolded a lot of people and coerced them to hastily generalise and categorise everyone as a player such that even when the good ones come around, their hearts are so oblique, hardened, and tightened towards them and end up scaring
the good ones away.
Most times, the good ones who are not brave enough and strong-willed, end up metamorphosing into something or some person they absolutely are not. I often wonder, why the rules, games and techniques in dating? When you could possibly just be open-minded and let the connection flow freely, but then the fragility of the human heart cannot let us be plain, transparent and decisive, so what happens? We end up living double lives, to confuse the other, become players in a game of love that needs no player since they ain't any referee, we become captives of our own identities. What stops us from loving
whole-heartedly? What stops us from being who we are, instead of pretending?
What stops us from presenting our real selves and motives in our relationships?
But offcourse we can't because the imperfections of humanity makes us
vulnerable to others who have allowed the devil to permeate their beautiful minds.
The truth is, your dream man or woman may just be infront of you but because of
who you've decided to be, you become so myopic that you can't even recognise
this and hence you keep waiting in anticipation of your dream partner. Although
it's quite perilous, given the contemporary status quo of things, try to be
accessible so you don't loose out on what heaven has in stock for you. Love
needs no game cos there is no referee to officiate it. Love is a journey, you just
have to travel through it.
