Bayern Munich players take pieces of Wembley netting as Champions League souvenir

After the 12 years Bavarians’wait for European glory, they finally lifted the cup in front of the 90,000strong crowd in north London and parading it round the pitch. Howerver Bayern players Franck Ribery, David Alaba and substitute Daniel van Buyten decided they wanted more than just the memories to take back to Germany with them and what better way to ensure they would remember the occasion after a few steins than chopping up bits of the goal netting to take away?
And that’s exactly what Jupp Heynckes’ men did.
And so aided by members of Bayern’s backroom staff and armed with scissors, they tore down the net in which Robben’s 89th-minute strike had nestled and proceeded to snip off souvenir chunks.

however am not a good sport writer so pardon my errors #runsaway#
