Because of what the society has turned out to be, because of the luxury the society emphasises on, because of the demands the society makes every now and then, a lot of us have lost our consciences, we've lost touch of what life really is, and we are left to believe what we now see.
We no longer care about our lives, we no longer care of who we really are, we no longer think of the hazards that stare at us daily in our faces, because we've allowed ourselves to be fooled by the glamours, and beauties we see and get every now and then.
Most of us don't care about who we are, we've ostracised and neglected our consciences, most of us have lost shame, and so we've subjected ourselves to belittling and demeaning things, as long as we're decorated for the world to see.
Why do we subject our bodies to highly immoral activities, all for some gadgets and cosy lifestyle? Why have we lost touch of our principles and etiquettes, all for a moment of degrading euphoria? We no longer think about ourselves, we no longer live for ourselves, all we care about is what the world thinks about us, and so we do everything regardless of the significances and repercussions because we want to camouflage our lifestyles with deceit, when in truth we are not who we claim to be.
Take a good look at ourselves, shouldn't we realise we deserve more than what we're turning in to be? we're already beautiful, with beautiful families who love us and would give us what we need, but our quest and hunger for the fancies of life won't allow us a second to really think about who we are becoming.
The thing about a cosy and flambuoyant lifestyle is that once we start it, it becomes so addictive, and we'll want to continue with it. We no longer care about what we do to get it, all that matters is that we get it and remain in that position. So even if it involves selling our bodies and souls to the devil himself, we are prepared to as long as we are the cosiest amongst our peers.
What's the difference with accusing celebrities of having ties with the illuminati for fame and what we are doing for the beauties (money, comfort, luxury) of life? If we say the celebrities have sold their souls to the illuminati to be at the top, it's equivalent to what we're doing, selling our morals, principles and etiquettes, all to live like the best. We want to use the best of gadgets, drive the best of cars, live in the best of houses, and so we are subjected to doing all manner of demeaning and degrading things because we have to keep up with what the society is after.
Let's ask ourselves ''is it really worth it?'' loosing our respect, our persona all for a moment of horrendous activities for the mundane possessions? Do we really need to live like this before we get what we want and need. We've been blessed with inestimable abilities and God-given talents, and they are untapped, because we've become so comfortable in disrespecting ourselves to get the best life offers.
Let's re-evaluate our lives, and ask ourselves is this who we really want to be? Is this the life we want? And is this all we think about ourselves?
If you think you deserve more, then it's not too late to change your course and direction.
Everything is attainable the moment we believe it is.
