The recently unveiled Cenotaph built in honor of 157 Victims of the  DANA Plane crash in the densely populated Iju Ishaga area of Lagos State by the Governor Raji Fashola administration has generated positive reactions from a cross section of residents.
One Alfa Opemipo,  in a chat with Saturday Vanguard, said despite the loss of lives involving well-meaning Nigerians, the tragedy had brought Iju Ishaga into the minds of many people around the world.
He further stated that the speedy  construction of major roads leading to the cenotaph was commendable: “I was very happy to see tractors and men of the Lagos State public works speedily constructing the roads in order to welcome sympathizers and families of the victims both on ground and in the plane.”
