STAMFORD BRIDGE ERUPTS. ..MIKEL RECORDS FIRST EVER EPL GOAL
In what seemed to be a much needed victory for the home side, Chelsea beats Fulham 2-0 to bounce back to the top of the Barclays Premier league table. The blues who have lost their last three encounters, stunned the world with two incredible goals from Oscar and John Obi Mikel.
Chelsea hosted their West London rivals, Fulham at the bridge this weekend in a West London Derby that saw them start an attack when Samuel Eto'o rushed in with a thunderous kick that went wide from an Ivanovic cross from the right flank. Shortly after, Darren Bent almost made the blues pay when he received a through pass from Scott Parker that left him one on one with Peter Cech, as he shot at goal but was blocked by the Czech goalkeeper. With the first half ending goalless after no side seemed to have a breakthrough on goal, the home side kicked off the second half in a more voracious manner that eventually paid off when Oscar slotted in a goal from a close range in the 52nd Minute. With six minutes to the end of the match, The world was left stunned, as John Obi mikel volleyed in a John Terry header from an Oscar corner kick, to score his first ever Premier league goal in 84the minute after 185 appearances and 7 years to put an end to his premier league goal drought. Chelsea extend their unbeaten streak with Fulham to 15 matches, to climb back to the top of the table.
